In 2020, WolfeCo Media Founder and CEO, Josh Wolfe, began his entrepreneurial journey in the beautiful state of Colorado with a friend and owner of CrysTanium Gongs, Ross.
Their time working together was one that majorly shaped the direction of Josh’s freelancing career into what would eventually become a national marketing agency. Take a ride in the WolfeCo time machine and hear about his time with Ross directly from Josh below:
“When I started freelancing, it seemed like all of my friends united to help me out. Ross, the owner of CG, was a long-time Pagosa Springs, CO resident (where I was living at the time). A good friend of mine had just purchased 10 acres from Ross to build a house on. When she found out about his gong business, she immediately connected us. Ross was an artist and craftsman through and through. He had another company called Harmony Wind Harps. These harps were all over his property and placed throughout the town. They were literally played by the wind.
The evening I shot that video was picture perfect Colorado fall. After the shoot, we walked through the woods on his property and drank a beer as the sun went down behind the San Juan Mountains, which is the southernmost and most rugged range in the Rocky Mountains. It’s an epic place. It’s hard to explain that feeling and I’ve never been able to replicate it outside the Rocky Mountains. I’ve lived a total of 5 years in the Rockies in my life and always feel a certain tug in that direction. Again, hard to explain.
I worked with Ross for about a year. We sold a few gongs. I learned a lot of the power of titanium, which is what all his gongs were built with. Ross was rugged, raw, emotional, and a pure artist. I learned a lot from him and am grateful for the experience that helped me learn a lot about myself and how I wanted to run my business.”
An experience that forged the path to the future of what WolfeCo Media would become, we’re reminded of the wise words of C.S. Lewis: “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
