WolfeCo Media, a full-service digital marketing agency based in Athens, Alabama, has an opening for a summer internship. 

Do you want to get some real-world marketing/advertising/business/strategy/storytelling/social media/copywriting/company culture/networking experience?

That’s what this six-week, 28-hour a week internship is all about. This is a generalist position, where you’ll have the ability to acquire knowledge and gauge your interests in multiple areas. 

We all wear many hats and engage with multiple brands on a daily basis. What can we say, we don’t like boredom brought on by repetition. And with many of our clients located right here in Athens, joining our team gives you the chance to be an integral part of a tight-knit community.

Who You Are

The right person for this internship has an intense desire to learn and serve, and an open mind. That’s it. We don’t care what you’re studying in school. What you put into the internship is what you’ll get out of it.

Some Responsibilities

– Assist in the creation and distribution of content

– Create, publish, and monitor social media posts

– Assist with the build out of editorial and social media calendars

– Some keyword research and SEO

– You may write and edit a few blogs

– Support the team in any required duties

A Few Qualifications

– Good communication skills (written & verbal)

– The ability to think for yourself and take the initiative

– An intense desire to learn

Things to Know

– You’ll be in our Athens, AL office Mon., Tue., Th., Fri. from 9:00-4:00.

– Everybody needs a little walkin-round money, so this will be a paid internship. 

– We’ll provide you with an Apple computer for the duration of the internship.

We are seeking a Design Intern to join our team for the summer in Athens, AL. This is a six-week, 28-hour a week internship.

 

This position will support our creative team by assisting with design projects for digital and print marketing. This role is ideal for a student or young designer who wants hands-on agency experience and the opportunity to contribute to real client work.

 

Our goal is for you to gain real-world agency experience by working on active client projects, receive exposure to branding, advertising, and digital marketing strategy; and create work that you’d be proud to show in your portfolio.

 

What you put into this internship is what you’ll get out of it. There is real potential for this to turn into a full-time role.

 

Some Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating graphics for social media, websites, presentations, and campaigns
  • Support the design team with layout, formatting, and production tasks
  • Prepare files for web and print use
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and concept development
  • Organize and maintain design files and brand assets
  • Revise designs based on feedback from team members

 

A Few Qualifications

  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Basic understanding of web design or WordPress
  • Strong sense of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Photography, video, or motion graphics experience
  • Ability to take feedback and revise work quickly
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple small tasks
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate
  • The ability to think for yourself and take the initiative
  • An intense desire to learn

We are looking for an Account Coordinator to join our team in Athens, AL. The primary responsibility for this role is providing administrative support to ensure that all  projects and campaigns are on time, within budget, and of excellent quality. 

What you lack in experience, you make up for with enthusiasm and a desire to learn. You’re a people person with solid written and verbal communication skills. You’re also a multi-tasking self-starter who manages your time well and can juggle a range of projects for multiple clients simultaneously. 

Most importantly, you’re a team player who cares about the work you do. You go to the office every morning knowing that you have the ability to make someone’s life a little better because of your efforts and creativity.

Main Responsibilities

These are guidelines. Responsibilities can and will change to meet the needs of our company and its clients. 

  • Manage assigned clients, often acting as account lead and/or day-to-day contact
  • Assist in maintaining accountability for progress of projects, timelines, and budgets
  • Assist in the creation of content, campaigns, and reports
  • Grow multiple social media accounts
  • Help create strategies to further the goals of each client
  • Coordinate projects and photo/video shoots
  • Manage and track the competitive landscape for clients
  • Collaborate across all agency departments
  • Support the team in any required duties

Good Qualifications to Have

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing, or advertising, or 1-2 years of experience in similar role
  • The ability to communicate effectively face to face, over the phone, in emails, etc.
  • Proficiency across multiple social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Google Drive
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Working knowledge of website content management systems (CMS)
  • Working knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) strategies and implementation
  • Some graphic design skills via Canva or Adobe
  • Some photo, video, and editing skills
  • An understanding of paid social media and Google Ads
  • Working knowledge of AI
