Josh’s career has been a bit of a zig-zag: from banking to ski bum to magazine editor and finally digital marketing when he went to work for an incredible agency in Nashville called Caddis (later acquired by Lewis Communications).
He got to work closely on some pretty cool accounts such as Tiffin Motorhomes, Spire Energy, Whitetail Properties, and Abeka, among others.
On the Abeka account, he helped launch a testimonial video series on why parents chose Abeka to homeschool their children, which is still running today. One of the first videos he and his team filmed won an Addy from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) in the Television Advertising category. He was also part of a small team that traveled to Vieques, Puerto Rico, shortly after Hurricane Maria, to take part in a pro bono campaign raising awareness around the island’s recovery and readiness for tourists.
Though his day to day now varies widely, it’s still his love of storytelling and the way it connects people that fuels the fire for what he and the team at WolfeCo do.
Josh received his BA in English from Auburn University and MA in photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). When he’s not in the office, he finds ways to do just about anything outside from working in the yard to hunting in remote locations.
He serves on two boards, including the Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation and the Outdoor Journalist Education Foundation of America (OJEFA), an organization that encourages and mentors young men and women who are interested in pursuing a career in outdoor communications. He is also on the advisory council for the Limestone County Career Tech Center.
Josh and his lovely wife Amy live in Athens.
